Briefly;

My name is Christine. I'm a retired high-school teacher from NSW.

I am not new to  anti-fluoridation campaigning.

I taught for some years in the town of Moree, before I moved to Oakey , where I now live. 

 In the early eighties the Moree council announced they were going to fluoridate the local water!

The town was in an uproar.

 Especially when a Swedish exchange student, at one of the high schools said , 'They can't do that . It's criminal. Fluoridating the water is virtually is just an excuse for getting rid of industrial toxic waste. It was banned in Sweden years ago, because of the dangers to the human body .' 

Petitions were signed. I did my bit & wrote  letters to the local paper & joined with others in the campaign to stop the fluoridation.

At that time I'm glad to say we did manage to halt the fluoridation.

I really dont know what the situation is now. I have a feeling that the town will have succombed to fluridation - most of NSW has.

This time I guess (as in Queensland) there won't have been a choice.

When I lived in Moree the water was sweet, clean & healthy.

The famed hot spa springs, second to none.

We used to fill bottles with the spa water to take that home to drink as well .
